Man Pleads Guilty To Robbing Barnegat, Manahawkin Banks
Kim Nguyen was found in New York after robbing Stafford's Wells Fargo and Barnegat's M&T Bank in March, authorities said.

BARNEGAT, NJ — A Pennsylvania man pleaded guilty Friday to robbing a bank in Manahawkin and a bank in Barnegat, the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office announced. Kim Nguyen agreed to a plea deal that would sentence him to 10 years in prison.
Nguyen is scheduled Oct. 18 for sentencing. He must serve at least 85 percent of his sentence before consideration for parole.
The Newtown Square resident robbed the Wells Fargo Bank in Manahawkin on March 16. Three days later, Nguyen robbed the M&T Bank in Barnegat. In each case, Nguyen approached the teller and passed a note demanding money while indicating, "this is a robbery," the OCPO said.

Officials reviewed footage from surrounding businesses and the New Jersey Turnpike Authority. Barnegat and Stafford police identified a vehicle with Pennsylvania plates, which belonged to Nguyen's father. Authorities found that Nguyen was on parole for a Pennsylvania bank robbery from 2012.
Police found Nguyen on April 14 in New Hyde Park, Long Island, New York. He subsequently confessed to both robberies. Read more: Man Who Robbed Barnegat Bank Found, Arrested In Long Island: Cops
