MANAHAWKIN, NJ — As areas in the southeast struggle to recover after two deadly and dangerous hurricanes swept through, one local brand is doing what it can to help.

The Jetty Rock Foundation, the non-profit arm of Manahawkin-based surf apparel retailer Jetty, has announced its Unite+Rebuild campaign to raise money for those affected by Hurricanes Helene and Milton. Jetty, with almost two decades of helping communities, says that 100 percent of all proceeds will directly benefit those in need, according to a news release.

This initiative features t-shirts and hoodies with a Unite+Rebuild design on them. Proceeds from these purchases will go directly to the communities in need through vetted partnerships.

“It wasn’t long ago that this was us, evacuating our barrier island for a storm like we’d never seen before,” said Jetty Chief Commercial Officer and Co-Founder, Cory Higgins. “We’re usually coming to aid in a zone where we’ve surfed and have those relationships. We’ve been so embraced by the outdoor world; we sell in shops in Florida, Western North Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, and Virginia. These are all part of our family too.”

Jetty was founded in 2003 and early on, helped raise funds for Hurricane Katrina relief, according to the company. It was after Superstorm Sandy in 2012 that the Jetty Rock Foundation officially formed, sending aid to victims of storms along with supporting clean water initiatives.

“Our retailer partners are the heart and soul of these communities. They have their finger on the pulse and understand what the urgent needs are on the ground,” said Jetty Creative Director and Partner, John Clifford. “Whether it be tools and protective gear, or funding for crucial supplies—the outdoor and surf industry can be counted on to jump into action when disaster strikes. Jetty and the Jetty Rock Foundation know first-hand how devastating these storms can be, and we wanted to act quickly to promote relief through these key leaders in the affected areas.”
