Manahawkin School One Of The Best In The Nation: Niche

MANAHAWKIN, NJ — Niche has released its annual ranking of the best public high schools in the US. Plenty of New Jersey schools made the list, including in Manahawkin.

Marine Academy of Technology and Environmental Science ranked 24 out of 100 of the best high schools, bringing it into the top 25 percent of the best.

There were 14 total New Jersey schools that made it into the list. Here's more of NJ's top schools:

• Bergen County Academies (No. 9)
• Biotechnology High School (No. 21)
• Marine Academy of Technology and Environmental Science (No. 24)
• The Academy for Mathematics, Science and Engineering (No. 25)
• Union County Magnet High School (No. 26)
• Academy for Information Technology (No. 42)
• Bergen County Technical High School (No. 57)
• Princeton High School (No. 66)
• Middlesex County Academy for Science, Mathematics and Engineering Technologies (No. 81)
• West Windsor-Plainsboro High School South (No. 84)
• Dr. Ronald E. McNair Academic High School (No. 85)
• Academy for Allied Health Science (No. 94)
• Millburn Senior High School (No. 96)

Niche's most important factor was academics, but it also added in other aspects of student life, such as culture and diversity, teachers and more. Niche also recently ranked MATES as having some of the best teachers in NJ.
