investigate, they found Minnie lying on her side,
unable to stand. She had been lost in the woods for 29
days. She was dehydrated, and starving. So thin, she
was just skin and bones. They immediately took her to
the address on Minnie's ID tag, and she was rushed to
a local animal hospital. Normally she weighs 17-18 lbs.,
but at the hospital she only weighed 7.3 lbs. After an
exam and blood testing, she was placed on a steady diet
of mushy dog food. She is now doing well, back home
with her family, and slowly regaining her weight and
strength. No words can express the gratitude to Jim and
Cathy for finding her, and also the nice boy who lives
on 1st Street, for helping them find Minnie's home.
If they had not found her, the following weekend had
an 8-9 inch snow, with freezing temperatures. Thank
you so much for finding her when you did. As Cathy
stated, she is truly a Miracle Minnie!
