NJ Duo Charged After $12K Stolen From Home Depots: Police
Ronnie Bridgelal and Jessica Bridgelal were caught in Manahawkin with $12,000 worth of stolen items from various Home Depots, police said.
MANAHAWKIN, NJ — Two people were charged after police caught them stealing from Home Depot in Manahawkin and had additional stolen items from other Home Depot stores in their car, Stafford police said.
Ronnie Bridgelal, 20, of Carteret, was charged with shoplifting, conspiracy to commit shoplifting, resisting arrest, hindering, receiving stolen property and possession of a false government document. Jessica Bridgelal, 29, also of Carteret, was charged with shoplifting, conspiracy to commit shoplifting, hindering and receiving stolen property.
On Aug. 9, at about 4:15 p.m., Stafford police responded to a shoplifting in progress at Home Depot in Manahawkin on Route 72, police said.

Ronnie Bridgelal was attempting to steal about $3,500 worth of merchandise from the store, police said. He attempted to flee, but Patrolman Adam Sherer was able to quickly arrest him police said.
Jessica Bridgelal was waiting in the parking lot in Ronnie Bridgelal's car, police said.

An additional $8,500 worth of stolen merchandise was found in the car, police said, taken from numerous North Jersey Home Depot stores.
Ronnie Bridgelal was taken to Ocean County Jail, while Jessica Bridgelal was released on a summons, police said. Both are due to appear in Ocean County Superior Court at a later date.
Stafford police are currently investigating this incident and said no further information will be released at this time.
