Ocean County Library Instills Auto-Renewals

You might say this news is long overdue. The Ocean County Library will auto-renew all eligible items beginning Monday, April 22.

There is no need to sign up for the new service. Your new due date will automatically extend from the original due date, adding another loan period.

Ocean County Library loan periods last this long for the following items:

• 21 Days: Books, non-fiction videos, CD-ROMs, spoken word and music CDs, cassettes and Interlibrary Loan materials.
• 14 Days: Magazines.
• 3 Days: All feature film videos, DVDs, and Ocean County College course videos.
• 7 Days: Video games.

All materials except browser copies and magazines may be renewed twice. Interlibrary loan materials may be renewed once for an additional seven days. So say goodbye to some of your overdue fines, which can total up to $15 per item.

The Ocean County Library has 21 locations. An Ocean County Library card can be used at all branches.
