• Dominant Defense Powers Undefeated Barnegat Past Colts Neck (tapinto.net) — Barnegat's Bengals football team stayed perfect with a 16-0 road shutout of Colts Neck, pushing their record to 5-0 and 3-0 in division play. A bruising defense, a short touchdown run, a screen-pass score and a late safety powered the win, keeping Barnegat firmly in the hunt for a division title as they head into next week's matchup.
   

• Storm path, wind advisory, timing, forecast for NJ/NYC nor'easter (northjersey.com) — Coastal New Jersey, including communities around Barnegat Bay, faces strong north winds, heavy rain and potentially major coastal flooding from a nor'easter this weekend. Wind advisories and coastal flood warnings are in effect for Ocean County, with forecasters warning of 1 to 2 feet of inundation in vulnerable areas and tides running well above normal through at least Sunday.
