Stafford Police Department Gets Re-Accreditation
Accreditation by NJSACOP means that the department meets the highest standards of policing.

STAFFORD, NJ — Stafford is celebrating another year of the police department being awarded accreditation by the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police (NJSACOP).
Not only did the department receive accreditation, the Communications Division was also awarded the Public Safety Communications Accreditation by NJSACOP, police said.
"What does this mean? Accreditation is a significant professional achievement that sets a benchmark for professionalism and excellence in law enforcement," Stafford police said. "It signifies that our department meets the highest standards in policing practices, operations, and community service."

When the Communications Division last received accreditation in 2021, it was only the second department in New Jersey to do so.
Accreditation is valid for a three-year period during which time the agency must submit annual reports attesting to their continued compliance with those standards under which it was initially accredited.
