Ovarian cancer is the second most common gynecologic cancer in the U.S., according to the CDC.

Ovarian cancer is difficult to detect early, as there is no simple or reliable way to screen for it, and symptoms often are not clear until later stages, the CDC said. Women can increase the likelihood of detection early on by recognizing warning signs and unexplained changes.
