A Barnegat family lost everything in a house fire on Saturday. A GoFundMe has raised thousands to help them.

BARNEGAT, NJ — Over the weekend, a Barnegat family experienced something no family should - their home was lost in a fire. But thanks to the help of the community, thousands of dollars have been raised to provide some comfort to the family during this terrible time.

As of Tuesday morning, $8,400 of the $10,000 goal had been raised for the GoFundMe "Melissa and Matt Rebuild."

According to the GoFundMe, the family lost "everything" in the fire on July 23. They now have to start over from scratch, the GoFundMe said.
