BARNEGAT, NJ — When exchanging cash, keep an eye out for counterfeit "movie money" being used in place of authentic currency, Barnegat police are warning residents.

"This counterfeit currency bears a striking resemblance to real bills but is specifically designed for use in films and holds no validity for actual purchases," police said.

The notable differences, displayed in a fake $100 bill shared by Barnegat police, are that "Motion Picture Purposes" is stamped on the front and "In Props We Trust" displayed on the back.
