Basking Ridge Reopens Tennis Courts With Social Distancing Rules
The tennis courts and paddle tennis courts reopened on Wednesday with social distancing guidelines in effect due to the new coronavirus.
BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Bernards Township reopened its tennis courts and paddle tennis courts on Wednesday with social distancing guidelines in effect due to the new coronavirus.
The restrictions at the courts include: wearing of face coverings, limiting parking to 50 percent of capacity, prohibiting picnicking, prohibiting organized activities and sports, prohibiting gatherings and the practice of social distancing.
"We encourage everyone using the courts to please adhere to the added precautions put in place which come down from the State," Bernards Township Mayor James Baldassare said.

All other township park facilities will remain closed until further notice, including: picnic shelters, playgrounds and fitness stations, basketball courts, volleyball courts, athletic fields (including the turf fields), the roller rink, the dog park, park restrooms, park water fountains and indoor park buildings (including the community center).

Gov. Phil Murphy reopened state parks and allowed golf courses to reopen as of Saturday. He left it up to the county and municipal level officials to decide whether to reopen any of their parks.
