National Night Out Canceled In Basking Ridge Due To Impending Rain
A Flood Watch has also been issued for Basking Ridge from Tuesday at 2 p.m. through Wednesday at 12 p.m.
BASKING RIDGE, NJ — National Night Out postponed for Tuesday is canceled in Basking Ridge due to the pending severe rainy forecast.
"Due to the weather forecast, we are regrettably going to cancel our National Night out," said Bernards Township Police Chief Jon Burger to Patch.
A make up date has not been set yet.

Nearby towns such as Hillsborough canceled their Night Out and so did Bridgewater, Westfield and Summit both postponed their National Night Out to Aug. 20.

Wednesday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 64. Northeast wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Thursday: A chance of showers, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 2 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 76. East wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
