Man Throws Hot Wings At 7-11 Worker's Face In Basking Ridge: PD

A Maryland man ordered hot wings, ate them, then demanded a refund before throwing them in the face of a 7-Eleven employee, police say.

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — A Maryland man was charged after eating hot wings and throwing the bones in the face of a 72-year-old employee of 7-Eleven in Basking Ridge on Thursday, police said.

On Aug. 15 at 3:45 p.m., a group of men walked into the 7-Eleven on Martinsville Road and began "acting unruly," Bernards Township Police said.

Dominique Johnson, 22, of Hagerstown, Maryland bought a plate of hot wings, left the store and then came back to complain about the hot wings and demand his money back, police said.

A 72-year-old employee told Johnson he would not be reimbursed because he ate the wings. Johnson then threw the remnants of the hot wings in the employee's face and left the store, police said.

Police stopped the 2019 Chrysler silver minivan that the group of men were traveling in on Route 78 East. A search of the van found marijuana under 50 grams inside.

As a result, Jasiah Stubbs, 18, of Hagerstown, Maryland was arrested for the marijuana and Johnson was charged with disorderly conduct.

The employee was not injured from the hot wings, police said.
