BASKING RIDGE, NJ — A pedestrian crossing at a Basking Ridge intersection on Friday morning was hit by a car, police said.

At around 7:45 a.m. on July 19, a driver, making a turn at the intersection of Valley Road and Stonehouse Road, was looking at another vehicle on the side of the road with its four way flashers on, Bernards Township Police Lt. Jon Burger said.

The driver then began turning when she hit the pedestrian who was crossing legally, Burger said.

The pedestrian suffered minor scrapes and bruises and refused medical, Burger said.

Along with police, Liberty Corner Fire Department also responded to the scene.
