Updated 2022 Election Results: Bernards Committee, School Board

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — New vote totals were released Monday for Bernards's Township Comittee and school board races. However, the Somerset County clerk has not certified the totals yet.

To make the tally official, the final certification of the results must be done by Nov. 26.

The additional votes were not significant enough to change the outcome of the races.

Incumbent Republican Janice Fields has won over Democrat Jessica Simpson-Cook for the one township committee seat, according to the unofficial results from the Somerset County Clerk.

Keith Molinari, Nimish Amin, Csilla Csipak won over Janice Corrado, Guddia "Herpreet" Singh, and Erica Blackman for the three school board seats, according to the unofficial results.

Township Committee

There are two candidates running for one open seat on the Township Committee.

• Jessica Simpson-Cook - Democrat - 5,714

• Nimish Amin (For Bernards Children) - 5,401
• Csilla Csipak (For Bernards Children) - 5,085
• Erica Blackman (Education For All) - 4,846
• Janice Corrado (Education For All) - 4,742
• Guddia "Herpreet" Singh (Education For All) * - 4,638

Unexpired, one-year (one seat)

• Lawrence Rascio (For Bernards Children) - 5,131
• Deborah E. Penner Smith (Special Education Teacher) - 2,745
• Suzanne Schafer-Skalski (Education For All) * - 2,394
