NUTLEY, NJ — The Nutley Public Library officially has a reopening date: Tuesday, May 26.
Earlier this week, library staff gave an update on the remediation efforts at the building, which began in February after a large leak caused extensive flood damage. The library was closed to the public after the incident for cleanup, but continued to offer several services for Nutley residents.
Here’s the latest update, the library announced Monday:
“Construction in all affected areas has now been successfully completed. The library is currently undergoing a thorough, building-wide cleaning and staff are focusing on returning materials to the shelves and organizing collections in preparation for reopening. We are excited to announce that the Nutley Public Library is scheduled to reopen to the public on Tuesday, May 26, 2026.”
