INCUMBENTS

Earlier this year, Marie Strumolo-Burke – who currently serves as town councilor in the First Ward – announced that she would not be running for re-election.

“It’s been a ride these last 20 years serving you all, and now it’s time to pass the torch,” she said, endorsing Tracy Juanita Williams for the job.

Last weekend, Steven Rovell – who serves as town councilor in the Second Ward – released a message about his decision not to run for re-election. He endorsed Victor Mesce as his successor.

“After five terms, I feel it is time to step back,” Rovell said (read his full message here).

“As my wife and sons have made eminently clear to me, I need to spend more time with my grandsons and the reset of the family,” he added.
