Belleville Police Captain Retires After 25 Years Of Service

A veteran of the Belleville Police Department with a quarter-century of service celebrated a "walk out" retirement ceremony at police HQ.

BELLEVILLE, NJ — A veteran of the Belleville Police Department with a quarter-century of service celebrated a “walk out” retirement ceremony at police headquarters on Wednesday.

The BPD offered its congratulations to Christopher Schwindt, a captain in the department who has been working in the township for 25 years.

“Congrats Capt and best of luck, continued success, and good health in all your future endeavors!” his peers wrote on social media.
