Essex County Man Punched After Parking Space Fight: Belleville Police
Parking space-related fights have recently been reported in Belleville, Bloomfield and Cedar Grove.
Another parking-related assault has been reported in New Jersey.
The Belleville Police Department reported an alleged fight between two men that took place on Tuesday around 12:15 p.m. on Washington Avenue.
According to police, one man struck the other from behind, causing minor injuries to his ear. The alleged assailant then fled the scene, the victim told officers.

Police stated that the fight reportedly took place “over a parking complaint.”

- In December, police reported that a 48-year-old Teaneck woman hit a teenager in the head with a 15-inch metal pipe during a fight over a parking space at the Garden State Plaza.
- In May, a 23-year-old woman was arrested after she punched a 21-year-old Haskell man in the face during an argument in the parking lot of the Meadowbrook Gardens Apartment Complex in Cedar Grove, according to police.
