The starting gun will sound at 9 a.m. Sunday, May 6 for the Nutley Chamber of Commerce 5k and Fun Run.
Runners and walkers will take to the hills, travelling both up and down the course that begins and ends at the Park Oval sports complex at Franklin Avenue and Chestnut Street, rain or shine.
More than 350 runners and walkers are expected this year, according to Richard Spector of the Nutley Chamber.

"I've never walked the 5k before, even though I've helped run the event for the past six years," Spector said. "But this year I'm going to do it, as part of the Nutley Wellness Campaign."
The Wellness Campaign organizers urge residents to choose healthy eating and exercise, Spector said.

Money raised from the run profits will pay to spruce up the downtown area with new planters, he said.
There will be first, second and third place trophies for the fastest three overall runners to finish, and first and second prize awards for each age group, from kids younger than 10 to 60 and above, Spector said.
Teams of more than 10 runners or walkers receive $5 dollars off the $25 entrance fee, Spector said.
Registration begins at 7 a.m.
