Nutley Students Collect 500 Valentines For Military Veterans
Here's a good news story for Valentine's Day in Essex County: a Nutley school collected more than 500 valentines for military vets.
NUTLEY, NJ — Here’s a quick "good news" story for Valentine’s Day in Essex County: students in Nutley recently collected more than 500 valentines for military veterans.
According to administrators, the school’s second annual “Valentines for Veterans” program collected 507 well-wishes for veterans at the Lyons VA Hospital Center and the East Orange VA Medical Center. The valentines included one student's heartwarming message that she "appreciates the time" that they're sacrificing for "Americans they don't even know."
