• Belleville Man Fends Off Armed Robber Outside His Home, Police Say (patch.com) — Belleville neighbors are being urged to stay alert after a resident on Cedar Hill Avenue fought off an armed robber who demanded his jewelry early Saturday morning. The victim was unharmed, and police are still searching for the thin, masked suspect who fled in a black sedan and reportedly spoke Spanish during the attempted robbery.
