AARP Offering Tax Return Help For Seniors In Berkeley

If you are a senior citizen who needs assistance filing your 2018 tax return, the Ocean County Office of Senior Services has announced that AARP is providing tax counseling sessions in Berkeley Township now through April 16, 2019, the filing deadline.

You will need to bring the following items:

• Copies of your 2018 Federal and New Jersey Tax returns.
• Your Social Security card
• All W-2 Wage and Tax Statements
• All 1099-R Pension and Annuity Statements
• All 1099s for Interest, Dividends, Stocks, etc.
• All Social Security statements including Form SSA-1099
• All Medical Expenses including mileage
• All Tax-related statements (Property Tax, etc,)
• Bank Account information for Direct Deposit of Refund or Direct Debit of Payment
• PTR Booklet and Primary Residence Real Estate Tax Bill

Berkeley seniors can receive assistance at the following location:

Holiday City Berkeley Clubhouse

• 631 Jamaica Blvd., Toms River
• Tuesdays, Feb. 5 to April 9
• 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. walk-in
