Bayville Man Steals From Walmart, Tries High-Speed Escape: Police
The man fled from loss prevention before authorities pulled him over, police said.

LACEY, N.J. — A Bayville man shoplifted from Walmart in Lacey on Saturday and drove at a high speed to try and escape, Lacey police said. Jeffrey Styles, Jr. fled from loss prevention and sped away from behind Walmart, according to police.
Lacey officers Scott Keefe, Anthony Sarno and Michael Baldasari responded to the Walmart incident. Baldasari observed the vehicle, and police pulled him over.
Styles was charged with shoplifting, and $99.83 in merchandise was recovered, police said. Officials took Styles to the Ocean County Correctional Facility, police said.
