Beachwood Home Catches Fire, No Injuries Reported

BEACHWOOD, NJ — A home caught fire early Monday morning on Shell Street near Surf Avenue. None of the occupants were injured.

The Beachwood Fire Department responded to the fire at about 12:30 a.m. Monday. The fire had significantly spread in the home, and the power lines were down. It took about one hour to extinguish the fire.

The Pine Beach Fire Department, Manitou Park Fire Department and Pinewald Fire Department, and Beachwood and South Toms River First Aid also assisted at the scene. The Bayville Fire Department provided coverage for the area.

The Red Cross responded to provide services for the family. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
