More vendors and a new location seem to be working for the second year of Berkeley's Farmers Market, Township Councilman Angelo Guadagno said.
Even though it was cloudy and cool last Tuesday, the first market of the season, was a lot better than last year," Guadagno said at the Township Council meeting Monday night.

"There was more stuff to buy, and three more vendors," he said.
Tuesday all 11 vendors should be on hand from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the parking lot of the township's Recreation Center on Route 9 South. Last year's market was held at Veterans Park, which was less convenient for customers.

The township started the market three weeks earlier than most other area towns.
"We did it for the exposure," Guadagno said. "By Memorial Day, it should be in full swing. Please take the time to stop by."
