Berkeley Library To Teach Program On Raising Chickens
"Crazy About Chickens" takes place at 6:30 p.m. Monday, May 13.
BERKELEY, N.J. — Thinking of raising chickens in your backyard? The Ocean County Library's Berkeley Branch can help.
The library will hold a program on raising chickens at 6:30 p.m. Monday, May 13. The Wise Quackers of Lacey 4H will answer questions and show off their feathered friends.
Growing numbers of New Jersey residents are raising chickens in their backyards, Michael Darcy, executive director of the New Jersey State League of Municipalities, told New Jersey 101.5. Many towns have regulated chicken raising so noise or odor doesn't become a problem.
