It's A No-Brainer - Island Beach State Park Wins Best Park In Berkeley
Berkeley Island County Park comes in second
When it comes to parks, Berkeley Township has few rivals.
Our 42-square-mile town is blessed with not one, but two state parks, three county parks and number of municipal parks.
But Island Beach State Park, with its nine miles of pristine beach and bay, came in first in a poll of our readers for their favorite park in Berkeley Township.

Island Beach was the top vote-getter in our poll, with 28 votes, or 35 percent. Berkeley Island County Park on the edge of Barnegat Bay came in second, with 16 votes, or 20 percent.
The other parks in the top five were Veterans Park, with 13 votes, or 16 percent; William J. Dudley Park with nine votes, or 11 percent; and Double Trouble State Park, with six votes, or seven percent.
