Berkeley detectives have arrested a Holiday City man after a months-long investigation into shots fired into Holiday City homes, Police Chief Karin T. DiMichele said.

The third incident happened on May 9, in the same neighborhood near a wooded area. Evidence recovered led to the identification of a suspect and his Jeep Wrangler, DiMichele said.

Berkeley detectives then obtained a number of search warrants on May 13 for a Bevidere Court home in the same neighborhood and the Jeep, the chief said.

Detectives arrested David Redzikowski, 41, Bevidere Court. He was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes, possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia, DiMichele said.

Police also found a suspected marijuana growing facility inside the home, several handguns, multiple rifles, shotguns and ammunition, the chief said.

Municipal Court Judge Damian G. Murray set Redzikowski's bail at $100,000 cash. He was taken to the Ocean County Jail in Toms River, DiMichele said.

"This investigation is ongoing," the chief said. "More charges against Redzikowski are expected as detectives process the evidence. The Ocean County Regional SWAT Team assisted in the entry to the home due to the high risk nature involving the discharging of firearms."

Conservation officers from the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection also assisted, she said
