Central Regional Community Wearing Red For Carly Day
Carly Day honors Carly Fetzer, a Central Regional alumna who has battled a congenital heart defect.

Central Regional will get the whole school involved for Berkeley's "Carly Day." All students and staff were asked to wear red Tuesday for Carly Fetzer, an alumna who has battled a congenital heart defect.
The school will enter students who wear red into a raffle for $10 gift cards. Staff who wear red can wear jeans with a donation toward Fetzer's CHOP fundraiser. If school is cancelled Tuesday, they will reschedule the event for Wednesday.
Fetzer was born with hypoplastic left heart syndrome. She received three surgeries in her early childhood to reroute her body's blood flow. Berkeley Mayor Carmen Amato signed a declaration Feb. 1 to announce "Carly Day" would take place Feb. 12.
