Coastal Ocean Beach Report For July 11, 2016

Another perfect beach day on the way.

The National Weather Service is calling for sunny skies with highs in the upper 80s.

Beach winds will be from the north at 5 to 10 miles per hour.

The surf will be from two to three fees, with southeast swells around two feet. The surf temperature is 73 degrees.

There's a low risk of rip currents. But strong currents can still occur near piers, jetties and other areas, especially during low tide. Swim only where guards are present and talk to them about any surf zone hazards.

There is no lightning threat today. Bring your sunscreen. The UV index is a 9, which is considered very high.

Low tide at Barnegat Inlet was at 7:55 p.m. High tide will occur at 2:04 p.m., followed by another low tide at 8:18 p.m.
