Coastal Ocean Beach Report For July 5, 2016
Showers this morning, becoming partly sunny this afternoon.

The National Weather Service is calling for cloudy skies with isolated showers and possible thunderstorms until 1 p.m., then becoming partly sunny.
The highs will be in the mid-80s. Beach winds will be from the southwest around 10 miles per hour.
The surf will be around three feet, with south swells around three feet. The surf temperature will be around 70 degrees.

There's a low rip current risk today, but strong currents can still occur near piers and jetties. Rip currents are also possible in other areas, especially during low tide. Swim only in guarded areas and discuss any possible surf zone hazards.
There's a moderate risk of lightning early this morning. The UV index is an 8, which the NWS considers very high.

High tide at Barnegat Inlet was at 9:03 a.m. Low tide will occur at 3:14 p.m, followed by another high tide at 9:20 p.m.
