Coastal Ocean Beach Report For June 17, 2016
Skies becoming mostly sunny by noon, low rip current risk.

The National Weather Service is calling for mostly sunny skies by noon, with high temperatures in the low 70s. And it looks like more of the same for the weekend.
Beach winds will be from the northeast at 10 to 15 miles per hour. The surf temperature is still a chilly 64 degrees. The surf will be around three feet, with an east swell from two to three feet.
The rip current risk is still low, but strong currents can still occur near piers and jetties. Rip currents are possible elsewhere, especially during low tide. Swim only in guarded areas and ask guards about any hazardous areas in the surf zone.
