Coastal Ocean Beach Report For June 22,2016

The National Weather Service is calling for sunny skies with highs in the mid-80s today.

The beach winds will be from the west at around 5 miles per hour, increasing to about 15 miles per hour in the afternoon.

The surf will be around 4 feet, with south swells around three feet. The surf temperature is 67 degrees. The rip current risk is moderate, which means that wind/and or wave conditions can support stronger or more frequent rip currents.

Always have a floatation device with you in the water and swim only in guarded areas. There is no lightning threat today.

High tide at Barnegat Inlet is at 9:45 a.m., followed by low tide at 3:51 p.m. Expect an evening high tide at 9:56 p.m.
