BERKELEY, NJ — A Berkeley man was charged with drugs and weapons offenses after an investigation found his home being used to store and deal narcotics, the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office said.

Berkeley detectives and the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office Narcotics Strike Force surveilled the Bayville residence, being used by Anthony Isola, 49, on Oct. 24, Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer said.

On that day, detectives saw a silver Chrysler 300 - operated by Wali Hobbs, 36, of Toms River, with front seat passenger Tykequan Hollis, 34, of Newark - make several brief visits to the residence in question, Billhimer said.

At one point, a woman later identified as Janet Jackson, 36, of Newark left the home and entered the car, Billhimer said.

As the car left the area, authorities stopped it for a roadside investigation, Billhimer said. All three individuals were then put under arrest without incident, he said.

Ocean County Regional SWAT then executed a court-authorized search warrant on the Bayville home, Billhimer said.

Police seized a hypodermic needle filled with heroin/fentanyl, drug paraphernalia associated with narcotics distribution, an UZI 9mm assault weapon and a high capacity ammunition magazine, Billhimer said. Isola was also taken into custody then.

Isola was charged with possession of heroin/fentanyl, possession of methamphetamine, possession of Xanax without a valid prescription, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of an assault weapon, and possession of a high capacity ammunition magazine.

Hobbs and Wallis both were charged with possession of less than one-half ounce of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of methamphetamine, and wandering to obtain or distribute a controlled dangerous substance.

Jackson was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of crack cocaine, wandering to obtain or distribute a controlled dangerous substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

All four were taken to Ocean County Jail where they remain pending a detention hearing.
