Hardy Rushes for 244 Yards But Central Falls to Vianney
Loss may keep Golden Eagles from hosting playoff game

Kalyph Hardy rushed for 244 yards and four touchdowns, but St. John Vianney clamped down on the Central Regional senior in the second half, while turning up its own offensive heat to beat the Golden Eagles, 34-26, in Holmdel on Friday night.
St. John Vianney (3-5) scored the winning touchdown after blocking a Central punt and recovering the ball at the Central 10. Eli Smith scored two plays later for a 27-26 lead.
Central, which had been the fourth seed in South Jersey Group III, had hoped to host its first playoff game in school history, but may lose that opportunity if Camden Wilson (5-2) can beat Triton (6-1) on Saturday.
