UPDATE: Sad News - Little Peanut Did Not Make It

Five-year-old mini Yorkie is pregnant, went missing from Williams Street home in Bayville on Sunday.

Not every story has a happy ending.

Little Peanut, a five-pound, pregnant mini Yorkshire, was found dead today..

Matt Geissinger, one of the mainstays of the Lost Dog Search and Rescue Facebook page, posted this update on Wednesday afternoon.

"I'm so sorry to have to make this post, he wrote. "Peanut has been found, but has crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. Our condolences to her family."

"I just got done communicating with Peanuts owner and she wanted me to pass this along,"Geissinger wrote. "She wanted to thank everyone so much for the efforts that we put into looking for Peanut and appreciates all the support she got from everyone."

Original story: Please keep an eye out for Peanut, a five-year-old mini Yorkshire who went missing in the Williams Street area in Bayville on Sunday.

Peanut is "very pregnant," according to the Lost Dogs In Ocean County Facebook page and needs to come home.

Williams Street is the same street the old Santo Marina street is located on. It's very close to the Toms River Shores section of the township.
