• Berkeley Town Council Asks State For School Tax Change (jerseyshoreonline.com) — Berkeley Township's council is urging New Jersey to roll back rules that let school districts raise taxes by up to 9.9%, arguing residents already shoulder rising bills. Local leaders say the township controls only about a quarter of your property tax, and want more oversight restored to voters and municipal officials when school budgets grow.
