Search For New Superintendent To Begin At Central Regional
After the resignation of ex-Superintendent Triantafillos Parlapanides, the search for his replacement has begun.

BERKELEY, NJ — The search for a new superintendent in the Central Regional School District is kicking off.
The Board of Education confirmed at a recent meeting that they had met with the New Jersey School Board Association on April 19 to review the process of seeking and hiring a superintendent.
A special meeting is set for May 30 to discuss the next steps.

At that meeting, the board will meet with a representative from the School Board Association again to go over their criteria and finalize the posting.
The job listing should be posted on their website and the Central Regional website by the first week of June.

Central Regional has been operating with Douglass Corbett as interim superintendent since the resignation of Triantafillos Parlapanides, which was approved by the board in March.
This resignation, for purposes of retirement, went into effect on May 1.

Parlapanides resigned in the wake of controversy over the death of 14-year-old Adriana Kuch, who took her own life after being bullied in the district.
