State of Barnegat Bay Conference Slated For June 15 At Ocean County College

Come to a "State of the Bay"Conference presented by the Barnegat Bay Partnership on June 15 at Ocean County College and find out.
The organization will release its State of the Bay Report 2016. It's been five years since the last report was released.

The conference will start with a video overview, followed by four panel discussions with experts discussing the report and answering questions from the audience.
The State of the Bay Report is an assessment of the Barnegat Bay prepared every five years by the Barnegat Bay Partnership using recent and ongoing research by academic, government, and private-sector scientists and engineers.

The report examines the bay's current environmental conditions and its watershed by using environmental indicators, and reports on the latest trends by comparing current conditions to those reported in the State of the Bay Report 2011.
The State of the Bay Report 2016 will be available on the Barnegat Bay Partnership’s website (http://bbp.ocean.edu/) starting on June 13. Printed copies will also be available to those who attend the State of the Bay conference on the 15.

One of 28 National Estuary Programs, the Barnegat Bay Partnership is sponsored by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Ocean County Board of Chosen Freeholders, and Ocean County College.
