Is Your Berkeley Garbage Pickup On Monday? Read This

Mayor advises you to put your garbage out on Saturday for pickup, since Monday is a holiday

BERKELEY TOWNSHIP, NJ - Residents who are frustrated with township garbage pickups recently and have Monday as their scheduled pickup day should put their trash out on Saturday for this week.

The Saturday pickup applies to schedules 3, 5, 6, 7 and 11, Mayor Carmen F. Amato Jr. said.

Monday, Jan 1, 2018 is a holiday, so garbage will be picked up for people with those schedules on Saturday, Dec. 30.

"Because it's a holiday weekend and this pick up was omitted in the printing of the 2017 schedules, we will also send the trucks out again on Tuesday Jan. 2, 2018 to pick up as well," the mayor said. "We regret any inconvenience or confusion this may have caused."
