Kimmerle Newman Architects Completes Renovations at 550 Hills Drive in Bedminster, N.J.
Lobby, Amenity Upgrades Transform Class A Office Building
HARDING/BEDMINSTER, N.J. Feb. 21, 2017 – Kimmerle Newman Architects (KNA) has completed significant renovations at 550 Hills Drive in Bedminster. These include a full lobby renovation, and a new amenity space with a fitness center, café and conference center. The three-story multi-tenanted office building is part of The Offices at Bedminster, a two-building, 190,000-square-foot Class A complex in Somerset County.
Built in 1989 as the commercial component of “The Hills” – one of New Jersey’s largest and most successful master-planned developments – The Offices at Bedminster is one of central New Jersey’s preeminent office addresses. The building’s ownership – in partnership with Avison Young, exclusive leasing agent for the complex – asked KNA to redesign the lobby and amenity spaces into a modern environment designed to maintain the asset’s competitive edge in the marketplace for years to come.
“550 Hills Drive is a beautifully-sited and appealing office building located adjacent to the Hills Village Center retail center, but as with many Class A office spaces built in the 1980s, the property’s interior had become dated,” said Paul Newman, AIA, CID, KNA’s vice-president and partner. “KNA specializes in taking the best existing elements of a building or space, and introducing creative and imaginative design elements to transform them, making them feel new and modern.”
