Somerset Hills Scouts Decorate Donuts For Battered Women

Girl Scouts from Somerset Hills decorated donuts to help the Jersey Battered Women's Service of Morristown celebrate Valentine's Day.

BERNARDSVILLE/BEDMINSTER, NJ — Girl Scouts from the Somerset Hills area frosted and decorated donuts to help the Jersey Battered Women’s Service of Morristown (JBWS) celebrate Valentine’s Day.

The scouts — from Bernardsville, Basking Ridge, Far Hills, Bedminster and Peapack-Gladstone — adorned dozens of donuts with “edible,” candy jewels such as diamonds, pearls and a variety of glittering, colorful sprinkles.

The baked goods were donated by Duck Donuts of Green Brook, while Diamond Dream is donating the edible jewels. Diamond Dream and owners Edward and Faina hosted the event.
