Bloomfield Mourns For 3 Local Victims At 9/11 Memorial Ceremony (patch.com) β Bloomfield recently gathered on the Historic Town Green to honor three local residents lost on 9/11, marking the attacks' 25th anniversary. Luminary bags decorated by Bloomfield High School students and teachers ringed the green until 9:11 p.m., giving neighbors a quiet, visual way to remember all 2,977 victims together.

Pets Abandoned In Essex County: Dog Tied To Fence, Cat Left Outside Shelter (patch.com) β Two pets were recently abandoned in Bloomfield, including a dog tied to a fence near the Garden State Parkway entrance on Summit Avenue and a cat left outside the Bloomfield Animal Shelter gate. Shelter staff are stressing that drop-offs like this are illegal and unsafe, and they're asking anyone with information to call 973-748-0194.
