Bloomfield College Will Spare Students A Tuition Hike: Report

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Bloomfield College is among just a pair of four-year schools in New Jersey that won’t be hiking its tuition rate for the upcoming year, a report says.

Many universities that offered tuition freezes or financial benefits earlier in the pandemic have gotten closer to business as usual, which typically means an annual increase in tuition and fees. Out of New Jersey's 27 four-year colleges and universities, 25 increased tuition by at least 2 percent for the 2022-23 school year, according to data analysis from NJ Advance Media.

Only two institutions, Saint Elizabeth University and Bloomfield College, kept costs the same, the report said. Other nearby campuses – including Rutgers-Newark and Montclair State University – recently saw tuition hikes. Read More: Tuition Increases At 25 NJ Colleges (Here's How Much It Went Up)

According to Bloomfield College’s website, a full year of tuition for full-time undergraduate students without any financial aid comes to $30,680. Want to add room and board? It will cost from $12,900 to $14,200 per year, administrators say.
