Bloomfield Ready For Early April Snow: Officials
Bloomfield township workers are out salting and plows are at the ready in case an early April snowstorm gets worse, officials said Monday.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Bloomfield township workers are out salting and plows are at the ready in case an early April snowstorm gets worse, officials said Monday.
As multiple car crashes and several airport flight cancellations were reported in Essex County, Bloomfield town officials issued a weather advisory early Monday morning, stating that the town is ready in case the weather worsens.
“Yep it’s snowing. We have started our salting operation and will plow if necessary. We MAY get 1-2 inches of snow per hour, and our specialized weather forecast predicts it will slow down after 9 am and eventually warmer temps will help melt this mess. We MAY get a total of 5 plus inches, so we are ready and will do our best to get our roads as safe as possible. If you have a driveway, please utilize it and if you are on a Snow Street, please remove your car so we can salt/plow more efficiently. School and Recreation lots are open if you need to find a parking space."
