Another Coaster In Works At Six Flags Great Adventure: See When It's Coming
This coaster is in addition to the "Purple Project" coaster under construction for 2027, officials said.

JACKSON, NJ — If a year seems like a long time to wait for a new roller coaster, Six Flags Great Adventure has something in the works for coaster lovers to enjoy sooner.
The park, which has been offering sneak peeks of changes for the 2026 season, shared photos of blue track on Friday — part of a new coaster being installed in The Boardwalk area of the park.
The bright blue coaster will be the park’s 14th roller coaster, part of what the company says is a significant transformation of The Boardwalk area at the park, which is entering its 52nd season.

The new coaster is separate from the coaster under construction in the area where Kingda Ka stood, which the park now is referring to as "Project Purple." Photos and video of the erection of the first pieces of track for that coaster, anticipated to debut in 2027 as the park's 15th coaster, were shared on Thursday.
"The Boardwalk coaster will anchor the reimagined area, bringing a fresh mix of family thrills and classic seaside energy to one of the park’s most dynamic spaces," park officials said, adding that additional details will be announced "soon."
