It's the second Brick Township officer hit during a traffic stop in four months.

BRICK, NJ —A Brick Township police officer was injured Wednesday night when a drunk driver hit his patrol car while he was conducting a motor vehicle stop, police said Thursday.

Breitenbruck was found to be intoxicated, Kelly said, and was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and assault by auto along with other motor vehicle violations.

Dinnebeil is the second Brick Township officer hit and injured during a traffic stop in the last four months. In September, Officer Nicole Borden was injured when a driver hit her patrol car as she was finishing up after a crash investigation.
