There is a public meeting on Wednesday where residents can give input; there's also an online survey you can take.

BRICK, NJ — If you love to ride your bicycle or walk but feel like you cannot do so in Brick, township officials are inviting you to a public event where you can share your thoughts.

The township and the state Department of Community Affairs Local Planning Services office are preparing a bicycle and pedestrian master plan for Brick Township, township officials announced.

The goal is to look at ways to increase the number of people riding bikes or walking in town and prioritize what needs to be addressed, officials said in a news release.

“The information we receive from the public will be an important consideration for the committee as we develop this master plan,” said Councilwoman Heather deJong, a member of the working committee.

Public input is critical to help develop a plan that addresses the needs of people on foot and on bike in neighborhoods across the township, the release said.
